Rev. Marilyn C. Lewis

Rev. Marilyn Lewis is an Ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She graduated magna cum laude from Suffolk University, School of Management in Boston, MA with a degree in Management, and a concentration in accounting. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology in Boston, MA with a concentration in the Hebrew Bible.

Rev. Marilyn Lewis has held various financial positions that include Finance Director, CFO, Controller and Grants Administration Manager. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has been licensed for over 20 years. She founded Lewis CPA Business Services, a full service public accounting firm located in Atlanta, GA. One of her business goals is to assist small businesses and non-profits in the areas of financial management so that they would thrive and maximize their potential for success.

Rev. Lewis together with Rev. Winston Lewis co-founded a nonprofit organization that is slated to provide housing, education and other related services to people with special needs. The organization’s programs also include transitional housing for disadvantage youths and programs for those affected by HIV/AIDS. Rev. Lewis is also called to international missions and has traveled to South Africa to visit and minister to those affected by HIV/AIDS. She has held various positions in the community including the Religious Affairs Chair of the NAACP branch in Fayette County, including Treasurer and other positions on other non-profit boards.

Rev. Lewis received the gift of salvation at a very young age and has been actively serving the Lord since she was a child. She has served the Church as Pastor, Women’s Ministry Leader, Head Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Christian Education Director, Prayer Leader, Spiritual Affairs Director, Marriage Ministries Leader. One of her favorite scripture verses is “2 Timothy 1:12 (b) “_because I know whom I have believed and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.”

Rev. Winston M. Lewis

Rev. Winston Lewis is an Ordained Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He is married to Rev. Marilyn Lewis and celebrates 37 years of marriage. Winston has been actively involved in serving the Church in a variety of positions such as Sunday school teacher, Lead Usher, Prayer ministry leader, Marriage ministry Leader, Community Health Ministry Leader. Rev. Winston Lewis was instrumental in moving Flatrock’s Community Life Center project forward as project manager. Winston also served as the Building Committee Chair.

He worked extensively to rebuild communities in New Orleans Louisiana to provide surge protection walls, levies and gates after Katrina. Winston worked within the Heath Street community for his ministry internship in Boston Massachusetts inner city neighborhoods. Reverends Winston & Marilyn organized teams from Flat Rock AME Church and Grace Evangelical Church to execute a much needed Community Health Fair, providing free health care services and lectures to the Fayette community residents.

Rev. Lewis graduated from Boston Architectural College Boston Ma. with a B. Arch degree. His thesis was on Community Planning and Development and mixed use development.

Reverend Turner’s first job was Mental Health Therapist for the state of New York for 11 years. Where she attended both primary and secondary school years.
Reverend Turner was an active member at Bethel AME Church in New York city First District under the leadership of Reverend O’Neal McKee for 8 year and served as member of the missionary society, sang in the young adult choir and was Girl Scout Leader. She was also an active member of Bethel AME Church Cedar Rapids Iowa, Fourth District under the leadership of Reverend Chastin and Reverend Blackmon. Rev. Turner served as Youth leader, Sunday School Teacher and Missionary Society on the District Level. During my spiritual services in Iowa, I achieved an Associated Degree in Nursing and has served as a Registered Nurse for past 28 years.
She is an active member of Russell Temple AME Church, serves a Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Worship Leader, Leader of the woman’s programs, Vacation Bible School teacher /leader. In 2015 Rev. Turner attended the Board of Examiners – North Atlanta Georgia Conference and was ordained as a Local Church Deacon in 2017. In May 2019, she was ordained as a Local Elder at Russell Tempe AME Church. She continues to serve as an associate minister in the local church.
Most importantly, she is committed to her calling in serving at Russell Temple AME Church. The light and compassion she brings has shined from her heart. It has touched and made the difference in many lives. Rev. Turner is a living testimony of God’s power in her life through his grace and mercy.
